Special information for PC users:

Download a free copy of Apple Itunes and Quicktime from the Apple website to enable MIDI file storage and playlist playback from your PC to your piano.

You only need to purchase a USB MIDI Interface to connect your PC to your Pianodisc control box. We recommend the Edirol MIDI interface products (for example: Edirol UM-1X or UM-1EX). Find out more about this interface at: http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.aspx?ObjectId=732&ParentId=114

To play MIDI files stored on your PC in Itunes playlists, connect the Edirol MIDI interface to the MIDI-IN port on your control box and then enable the MIDI "Passthrough" mode on the control box.

You can even store all of your Pianodisc music library onto your PC's hard drive and then place the files in Itunes playlists. You will need a $35 software conversion program from Giebler Enterprises to copy your Pianodisc floppies onto your PC hard drive. Find out more at: http://www.giebler.com/#pdm

When combined with the maestro rf PC application, your PC becomes a very powerful music storage and playback device with the ability to control all of the playback functions of your Pianodisc system directly from the screen of your PC.

Since you will be using your PC as the primary interface to your Pianodisc system, you may want to relocate your Pianodisc control box off of your piano and place it near your PC. There are wireless MIDI devices available to accomplish this without the need for cabling to your piano. Here is one example of a wireless MIDI adapter: http://www.organworks.com/Web/products/products.asp?productid=77&categoryid=17&category=MIDI%20Works

Imagine the possibilities!

note: The Quicktime version for the Macintosh does not support playback through a USB MIDI interface. There are however many commercial MIDI software products for the Macintosh that will accomplish the same results described above.
